Remote worker thinking about Ogden

Homes are going for about $431,000 on average. Household incomes average around $111,461 in Ogden. Median household income is $111,461, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 15 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
