First time home buyer in Ogden

So, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 9.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $311,300 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
