Life in Ogden as a young professional

Moved here 8 years ago for work. Ogden has a small but active network for young professionals. Income levels are solid here — median is around $70,053. Rent runs about $1,128/month for a typical apartment. The social scene is pretty active with lots of meetups. Would I recommend it? Absolutely..

Coming from Phoenix, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 5 years and my experience is very similar.

Check out the Midtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

The job market has been improving lately. Several logistics companies moved in recently.
