Anyone else love living in Ohatchee?

Hello, I've been here for 15 years and You can expect to pay around $845 for rent here. Median household income is $71,364, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 1,043 people. The median home value here is around $191,000, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely underrated and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The dating scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
