OK so We have two kids and It's a a smaller city city with about 34,971 people. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What are your go-to spots? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in government. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like sushi.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Moved here from Miami about 7 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to walkability but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
