Is Okemos good for remote workers?

Random thought, Rent is about $1,250/month for a decent place. Median household income is $97,603, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
