Grocery stores in Oklahoma City — recommendations?

The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,083/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Came here for a fresh start and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The safety is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a lawyer and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 37, moved here 3 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Midtown and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The safety situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for families. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I work in real estate here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is tough. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $80K-$140K here.
