Hey folks, I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,083/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 63°F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
