OK so I'm a 49-year-old firefighter and Rent is about $1,314/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $112,232 in Olathe. Homes are going for about $340,600 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
