Quick question about Olathe

Hey everyone, Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Olathe sits at 205.1 per 100K. Average temperature is around 57°F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $112,232, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 6 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
