Working remotely from Olathe — my experience

I've been working remotely from Olathe for 9 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Fiber available in most areas — no complaints
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Olathe is underrated for remote workers.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 11 years and my experience is very similar.

Check out the Oakwood area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Lakewood and Northside are perfectly safe.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, there are good opportunities if you network.
