Random thought, Homes are going for about $457,800 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, which is about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in Fairview for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The walkability scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much established but now it's challenging.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Fairview area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.
