Just moved to Old Jamestown, any tips?

Curious what people think. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Moved here from Austin about 3 years ago. it was the best decision I ever made. Still getting used to safety but No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The traffic scene is decent

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
