So, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $230,100, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,706/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $230,100 on average. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for work and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The public transit is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
