How much do you pay for rent in Old Saybrook Center?

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $85,466 in Old Saybrook Center. Rent is about $1,665/month for a decent place. Median household income is $85,466, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,665 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Let me know your thoughts. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I work in education here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is pretty good. Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Pine Hills area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 1 years. Moved from Chicago for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Not very walkable outside downtown. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 5/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
