Housing market in Olean right now
Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $786 for rent here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Boston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..
