Should I move to Olive Hill or stay in Kansas City?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I relocated for work and It's a a small town city with about 1,488 people. Median household income is $69,063, which feels about average for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Let me know your thoughts. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The cultural scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
