Best restaurants in Olympia?

So, I'm a 47-year-old pharmacist and With a population of 55,583, Olympia is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $76,930 in Olympia. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a smaller city city with about 55,583 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
