Housing market in Omaha — is it worth buying?
Median home value here is around $230,100. Prices are reasonable compared to major metros. For those renting, typical rent is $1150.
Is now a good time to buy in Omaha? Or better to keep renting?
Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

I'd add that the school system has been improving steadily. Otherwise spot on!

Check out the Midtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Coming from Dallas, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

If you can afford it, Oakwood is the best place to live. Period.
