Job market in Omaha right now - honest take

Long time reader, first time posting.

My wife and I moved here from Raleigh about 7 years ago. Downtown has improved dramatically since I first moved here.

Median income here is around  which {inc_feel}. Home prices averaging  is {home_feel}.

Public transit is surprisingly OK - you'll want a car. Cost of living is wild how much cheaper it is compared to where I came from.

Renter's perspective: I think it's fair for the area. I'm in Elkhorn and it's solid. Definitely shop around though.

My experience has been different actually. I found that The parks system here is underrated.. Maybe it depends on which part of Omaha you're in.
