Orange quality of life — am I missing something?

Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this? TIA! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Moved here from San Francisco about 11 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to walkability but Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely challenging and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (The Heights) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Mexican places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
