Working remotely from Orange Lake

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and With a population of 9,588, Orange Lake is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
