Median household income is $82,467, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the South side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Came here for family and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The outdoor recreation is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
