I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $874/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Oregon? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Highland area are improving. Kids love it here.
