Is Orem good for remote workers?
Curious what people think. I'm a 49-year-old graphic designer and Median household income is $81,292, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Orem sits at 90.2 per 100K. Rent is about $1,405/month for a decent place. With a population of 97,048, Orem is a smaller city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Orem? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
