Hey, I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $2,407/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Orinda? The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development.
