Hello, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $168,300, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 1,849 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
