Relocating to Orland, CA -pros and cons?

Hey, The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. Homes are going for about $320,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Orland sits at 429.7 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 8,252 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. TIA! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The nightlife scene is decent

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
