Orland Park quality of life -am I missing something?

I'm single, late 30s, and The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $98,979, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
