Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. Rent is about $1,332/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. Median household income is $67,482, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Ormond Beach? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
