Dog-friendly places in Orocovis zona urbana?

Hey everyone, Rent is about $355/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 51.5%, which is higher than I expected. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is tough.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community vibe is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
