Studio apartments in Orono -options?

So, Crime rate is something to consider -Orono sits at 68.8 per 100K. Median household income is $181,875, which feels pretty solid for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Is this normal for Orono? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Portland about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.
