Orosi quality of life -am I missing something?

Hey, I'm a 27-year-old physical therapist and Poverty rate is 18.2%, which is higher than I expected. The unemployment rate is 9.9%, which is concerning. Crime rate is something to consider -Orosi sits at 103.1 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 8,679 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Anyone in a similar situation? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 54, moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Sunset and Lakewood, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The public transit situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Sunset: Great for remote workers. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Lakewood: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The public transit is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
