Worst things about Oroville nobody talks about
OK so I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 19,855 people. With a population of 19,855, Oroville is a small town. The median home value here is around $280,600, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,074/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
