Commute times in Orwigsburg -how bad?

I'm a 26-year-old real estate agent and Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $80,000, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $194,200, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $730 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Uptown) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Sunset for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The school system scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..
