Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2017 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've lived in The Heights for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much manageable but now it's average.
