Is Osceola getting better or worse?

Longtime lurker here, It's a a small town city with about 2,818 people. You can expect to pay around $1,019 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What are your go-to spots? TIA! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Austin it's underrated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 12 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in East area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is challenging in most areas.
