Best neighborhoods to rent in Oskaloosa?

Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $128,900, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Oskaloosa sits at 473.1 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 3 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
