Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 26,979, Ossining is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Ossining sits at 224.2 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $2,108 for rent here. Rent is about $2,108/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
