Life in Overland as a young professional

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The community vibe scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
