What to expect moving to Overland?

Hi all, Just moved here 6 months ago and Median household income is $57,755, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for school and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The food scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
