Overland Park vs Atlanta — which is better?

First post here. We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $384,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Any advice would be great. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Hope this helps!.
