Worst things about living in Overland Park
Look, I love Overland Park, but let's be real about the downsides:
Traffic can be bad during rush hour
Winters are harsh
Not much to complain about honestly
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great place overall. But people should know what they're getting into.

If you can afford it, Westside is the best place to live. Period.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

I've lived in Northside for 8 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Moved here last year. No regrets. Great value for the money.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

Don't sleep on Lakewood. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, there are good opportunities if you network.

I've lived in Maple Heights for 12 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

As someone who moved here from Dallas, I can confirm most of this. The weather surprised me the most.
