Is Owasso walkable?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 20s, and You can expect to pay around $1,222 for rent here. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,013 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What are your go-to spots? Appreciate any input. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 15 years. Moved from Baltimore for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is solid - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Not very walkable outside downtown. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in The Heights for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- The dating scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
