Curious what people think. I'm a remote worker and It's a a smaller city city with about 26,462 people. Household incomes average around $81,276 in Owatonna. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 10 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a data analyst and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Hope this helps!.
