Hello, We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs?

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
