Job market in Owensboro for tech?

Household incomes average around $53,295 in Owensboro. It's a a smaller city city with about 60,112 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Dallas about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..
