OK so With a population of 60,112, Owensboro is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Miami about 15 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Moved here from Nashville about 6 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The traffic is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
