I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $190,600 on average. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 1,945 people. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
