Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and Household incomes average around $42,147 in Oxford. Crime rate is something to consider -Oxford sits at 266.0 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to San Francisco it's improving.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
